Every year the Forum, which is organized at the beginning of September brings together more than 4,500 international guests. These include political, economic and social leaders as well as approx. 600 journalists. The guests usually come from over 60 different countries of Europe, Asia and America. The Forum’s mission is to create a favourable climate for the development of political and economic cooperation between the EU member states and their neighbours.
Organizational outline:
The director of Czech Women´s Lobby Hana Stelzerová was invited to the Economic forum to participate in panel discussion: Female Leaders. The Leadership of the 21st Century
The growing participation of women at the highest levels of leadership is a consequence of a wider social phenomenon, emancipation. In Iceland, women occupy about 48% of seats in parliament, the highest percentage in the world. In Scandinavia, the participation of women and men in social and economic life is most balanced. What makes women so effective? What qualities and skills are key to success? What are the challenges faced by women in managerial positions in companies and senior positions in governments? How can women's leadership potential be developed?
