WikiGap: Let’s Close the Internet Gender Gap

8. 3. 2018

On March 8, 2018, The Czech Women’s Lobby joined the event WikiGap: Let’s Close the Internet Gender Gap which was organized by the Swedish Embassy with the support of Wikimedia Czech Republic, the Embassy of Canada to the Czech Republic and the United States Embassy in Prague.

The event took place at the American Center in Prague on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The aim of the event was to contribute to a more gender-equal Wikipedia. Currently 90% of Wikipedia´s content is created by men and there are four times more articles about men than about women.
