Topics such as women’s role and position in society, violence against women, representation of women in politics, i.e. gender equality in general, have not yet emerged strongly in Czech election campaigns. Experts from the Czech Women's Lobby in cooperation with the Heroine magazine decided to change this situation. Before the first round of the presidential election in January 2023, Heroine magazine approached the candidates with a request for an interview regarding equality of women and men in the Czech society. The questions asked were prepared by the Czech Women’s Lobby gender experts.
